Jan. 13, 2016 Meeting Minute
Terry Deno opened the meeting at 7:00PM. There were 106 people in attendance.

Mel Neil gave the Treasurer report. Balance in the checking account is $4,671.47. Last Spring we received a $500 Grant from the city. There is $247 remaining to spend on printing costs for agendas etc.
Profit from the Neighborhood Garage Sale last June totaled $580.

He talked about the importance of donations to help pay for a Traffic Engineer and an Attorney to help us with our Appeal of the findings of the SEPA determination regarding the Morningside Apt. Complex. The Appeal had to be filed by 5:00 PM. tonight.

The membership voted to approve an open ended account to be used to cover the cost for the Traffic engineer and the Attorney until January.

Brandon Rapez-Betty from STA gave a 20 minute presentation on Proposition 1 that will be on the ballot in November. The goal of the STA is to maintain, improve, and expand the Public Transportation in Spokane and the surrounding area. They expect an increase in demand over the next few years. Their goal is to make access to the services more available and appealing to encourage more people to ride the bus. To learn more information visit STAMovingForward.com.

Jim Bakke conducted a survey of the attendees in a focus group setting getting their response to several questions regarding the proposed Morningside Apartments. He will present their responses at
the Planning Commission Meeting at 4pm on Sept.21,2016. There will be a meeting with the hearing examiner Oct. 25, 2016 at 9am. Both meetings are to be held at City Hall in the council chambers.
