NITNC Meeting Notes
March 13, 2007

Craig Culbertson welcomed 41 guests to our March meeting of NITNC.

John Dietzman: The Village on Indian Trail Development will create additional traffic and congestion necessitating a wider road with a stop light and turn lane for safety reasons. A Baseline Traffic Study is a necessary tool. ( more as added by John D)

Introductions of new business on Indian Trail include:
SHAN’S GRILL features seating for 100 and a patio accommodating twenty five guests. This new dining site sports a fine Chef from the Portland Culinary School with his many “custom” recipes and accommodating style. They serve breakfast – lunch and dinner on the weekend and open at 3 pm Mon thru Fri. Excellent dining!
TACO DEL MAR also has opened at the mini mall next to the dollar store offering ample portion “wraps” and other items with varied drinks in a festive, casual and affordable atmosphere. These businesses are locally owned and are counting on our patronage for their success and growth. INVITE your friends!

Jim Bakke: spoke about a need for an Impact Fee ordinance. There was unanimous
Support from this gathering regarding this need.

Gail Freese: The Post 39 group of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will meet on both March 22nd and April 26th at noon for potluck lunch. Our speaker for the day will be Eric Meyer of the Transportation Security Administration (March Meeting) and Chief of Police, Anne Kirkpatrick for the April meeting. Invite a friend and join us for these potlucks (bring a salad, casserole or dessert). Call 465-0779 or 327-6043 with questions regarding these gatherings. Contact:

Walt Jones – our COPS Northwest Volunteer: reported one instance of malicious mischief and one robbery in our area reported to the Neighborhood Observation Patrol. Volunteers are always needed to help increase safety and alertness.

The upcoming April 10th NITNC meeting will feature a speaker and slide show about public use of Riverside State Park and begins at 7 pm. Bring a friend or neighbor.
