Curt Fackler, Chairman, NITNC, welcomed the 50 attendees.

Jim Bakke provided an update on Community Assembly activities.

Diana Postlewait reported a balance of $2114.70 in our treasury.

Spokane Police gave a Crime Update.

Boy Scout Troup 171 received merit badges and appreciation for their work in cleaning up trash from the undeveloped wooded area known as “The Dirt Trails”.

Kathy Miotke, Chair of the 5 Mile NC, reported on the County's move to greatly expand the Urban Growth Area which will put a $1 billion burden on Spokane to provide new services. She is leading an effort to fight this by getting the Mayor to file suit challenging this action. She asked for a straw vote among the membership and got 36 to 0 vote in support.

Tim Burns gave an update on the Police Ombudsman activities.

Mark Ponds, Reference Manager for Spokane Library, gave an interesting report on the reference services offered by the Library that goes well beyond the Google or Wikipedia capabilities.

Randy Chapman, VP Association of Manufactured Home Owners, spoke on his organization who represents the interests of manufactured housing communities, such as the one below our bluff on Nine Mile Road which we just discovered belongs to the NITNC.
